Homemade Bone Broth

If you have landed here, you are in the right place! This savory bone broth recipe will give your family endless health benefits & boost your immune system one cup at a time! Here is my simple, no talent bone broth recipe.

Look at that simple bone broth strained and ready!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of bones, chicken or beef

  • 2 cups celery stalk, halved

  • 1 cup carrots

  • Springs of fresh thyme or bay leaves, optional

  • Salt & Peppercorns to taste

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 8-12 cups of filtered water, fill to the top of your crockpot or stockpot

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a crockpot or stovetop stockpot (bones, scraps, fat, etc.). Cover with filtered water and cook on low for at least 12 hours. 15-18 is best.

  2. Feel free to add more or less water depending on the size of your crockpot or stockpot. You can fill water up to the top!

  3. Turn off and allow broth to cool slightly, and run through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or container. Just make sure it’s not scalding hot!

  4. I store my bone broth in mason jars, but be mindful not fill all the way to the top or your mason jars will crack in the freezer!

  5. Keep in the freezer until ready to use.

  6. Just like that you’re done!
